Your courthouse
wedding questions.
How much does your courthouse wedding photography cost?
Two hours of photography with me, including your courthouse ceremony and a portrait walk through the surrounding Beverly Hills architecture within a two-block radius. The required photo permit is included in the $2,000 price, and I’ll arrange it for your wedding date once you book. A pre-shoot Zoom call is also included, so we can get to know each other and plan portraits around your style and comfort level. We’ll confirm gallery delivery and booking details together.
Is the Beverly Hills wedding photo permit included?
Yes. A photo permit is required for our Beverly Hills portrait session. Once you book with me, I’ll order the permit for your wedding date. The cost is included in your $2,000 shoot price. Photography inside the courthouse or on its steps requires separate court permission, which we’ll confirm for your appointment.
Can you be our witness?
Yes. I can serve as your witness and sign your marriage license while also photographing your ceremony. For a public license, you can choose me, bring your own witness, or arrange a county-provided witness for an additional county fee. Confidential licenses do not require a witness.
Who can attend an express ceremony?
Express ceremonies take place at the marriage license window with one witness alongside the couple; other family and friends wait outside. I can take that witness spot, sign your license and photograph the ceremony. If you prefer someone else as your witness, let’s discuss photography access before booking. Confidential licenses do not require a witness; we’ll confirm photographer access with the county. Standard ceremony guest capacity is confirmed by the county for your chosen room.
How are the two hours divided?
Usually about 20–30 minutes for ceremony coverage, around an hour for portraits nearby, and roughly 30 minutes for prep, walking and setup throughout the session. These are approximate allocations within two hours, with a little flexibility for the day. The county’s appointment length is separate from this photography plan.
Do we book the ceremony separately?
Yes. Your photography booking is separate from your marriage license and ceremony appointment. Confirm the current process directly with the LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk , then share your appointment details with me so we can plan the photography around them.
Where do we take Beverly Hills City Hall wedding photos?
City Hall and the nearby Civic Center are portrait backdrops after your courthouse ceremony. We’ll stay within a two-block radius, finding staircases, palms and archways. Our exact stops depend on the light, permits and access on your day.
Do we meet before the wedding?
Yes. Once you book, we’ll meet on Zoom to talk through the feel of your photos, any inspiration you love, and what you’re comfortable trying. Whether you want simple, natural portraits or something more playful and adventurous, we’ll make a plan that feels like you. This call is included and happens before your two-hour wedding-day session.
We’re a little camera shy. Is that okay?
Absolutely. You don’t need to arrive knowing how to pose. I’ll give you simple direction when it helps, with space for you to walk, talk, and be together.
